The International Film School Sydney
As part of the ITC’s expansion into specialised vocational education it
has now taken a controlling share in the International Film School
Sydney (IFSS). ITC has also been contracted to undertake the marketing
and student recruitment for the school.
IFSS is an independent film school located in Rosebery, Sydney.
Established in 2005, the school has a total enrolment of 55 students,
of whom more than 30 are international students. IFSS enjoys a high
industry profile, and is a sponsor of Tropfest 2009 and the 2009
Flickerfest Film festival.
The International Film School Advanced Diploma in Screen Program is a
production intensive two-year course that ensures students will learn
the fundamentals of film production before specialising in one of our
key areas:
• Writing/Directing/Producing
• Cinematography
• Editing
The school philosophy is that you can't teach filmmakers with a
one-course-fits-all approach to training: you have to expose filmmakers
to a multitude of voices and teach filmmaking in a way that's tailored
to each individual's understanding.
